Homeroom Teacher - Year 4

Bachelor’s Degree of Education in Arts

Hello. My name is Anne Ngugi, I would describe myself as a passionate teacher who is very knowledgeable about her subject matter, industrious, positive and a high achiever with over Twelve years experience in teaching. Adept at teaching both at the Elementary level as a homeroom teacher and Secondary level as a History teacher, with a proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences. Having taught several schools in Kenya,I have become familiar with the Cambridge andMontessori practices and Curriculum. I hold a certificate in teaching and a Bachelor’s Degree of Education in Arts. My aim is to develop learners/ young adults who leave school with asense of identity, tolerance, a good understanding of different diversities as well as all rounded and confident young minds who are ready and able to embrace the challenges and opportunities of life.

My teaching philosophy dictates the need of creating a good and healthy learning

atmosphere for my learners and is all inclusive catering for all learners regardless of their

learning abilities. Having in mind that all learners are talented differently and that learning is a systematic journey that involves individual progress, I incorporate a variety of teaching methods for delivery, technology being the most effective of them all. Why do i do this? This is because, my journey as a teacher has taught me that some learners learn well through listening others through discussions, singing, dancing, taking nature walks, watching video clips and others by just observing.

Child protection and safe guarding is at the forefront of all that i do. I find it extremely

stimulating and i have developed a deep understanding of this area in education. You can rest assured that your child’s safety and well being is of utmost importance to me.

Besides teaching in class, I am skilled as an aerobics trainer and i enjoy swimming and taking walks. I advocate alot on outdoor and extra curricular activities. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Right? Eagerly waiting to share this passion with my learners.

Welcome to Maple Bloom
